When planning for the arrival of your newborn, there are dozens of decisions that need to be made when it comes to baby nursery decoration. Should the nursery be uniquely designed, or should it match the rest of the house? What colors should you consider? What layout is best for the nursery? The list can get pretty extensive. Since your baby will be spending much of the time in the nursery for her first year, you'll want the nursery to be stimulating, fresh and fun.
One of the first items expectant parents should consider is baby nursery bedding. This of course is probably the most important item, since your newborn will spend so much time in her crib sleeping. There are many flavors of nursery bedding, including modern and simple, to more traditional styles. Colors can be soft and delicate or bright and striking. Once you select a theme for the nursery bedding, you can work outward to decorate the rest of the nursery.
There are a wide array of items you could consider for decoration after deciding on bedding. If your budget is restrictive, narrow your choices down to practical choices such as a quilt, diaper stacker, storage bins, a lamp and a mobile. A second set of bedding is definitely recommended to allow for rotating when you're doing the laundry, and to prevent too much wear over time.
